If you love the crisp, refreshing air, the changing leaves, and football, then Lexington, Virginia is the place for you to be this fall. Surrounded by the beautiful Blue Ridge and Appalachian Mountains there are a plethora of hiking trails and mountain top views to fill and entire weekend.
If climbing mountains isn’t exactly your thing, The Blue Ridge Park way, just minutes away from Brierley Hill, is exploding with color this year. You can enjoy a beautiful scenic drive with various places to stop and enjoy the breathtaking, panoramic views of the Shenandoah Valley. The Historic town of Lexington still has a lot to offer.
With the Washington & Lee and Virginia Military Institute campuses adjacent to each other, there are plenty of football games to go around in this small town (see schedule below). On October 18th, Washington and Lee plays against rival, Randolph-Macon at 1:00 p.m., and VMI faces off against Gardner-Webb at 1:30 p.m. So come on down to Lexington for a relaxing stay at Brierley Hill B&B this fall and enjoy all that our lovely area has to offer.
